2. Data we may process
This website does not include user accounts or online contracting mechanisms. If you use the contact form or communicate with us by email, telephone or another available channel, we may process the data you provide voluntarily, such as your first and last name, email address, company, position and the content of your enquiry.
The server hosting the website may also generate technical logs that are essential to provide and protect the service, such as the IP address, access date and time, requested resource, browser type and data associated with errors or security incidents.
If you take part in a recruitment process or voluntarily send us your CV, we may process your identification and contact details, education, professional experience, skills, availability and any other information included in your application. Please do not provide special categories of personal data or information that is not necessary to assess your profile.
Please do not send us particularly sensitive data or third-party information that is not necessary to deal with your request.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Responding to enquiries and requests for information. The legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps when the enquiry concerns a possible engagement and, in other cases, our legitimate interest in responding to communications we receive.
- Managing relationships with clients, suppliers and partners. The legal basis is performance of the contractual relationship and compliance with applicable legal obligations.
- Ensuring the operation and security of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing misuse, detecting incidents and maintaining the website’s availability and integrity.
- Sending marketing communications where permitted. They will only be sent with your consent or where there is a prior relationship and legal requirements are met. You may object at any time.
- Managing applications and recruitment processes. The legal basis for processing the application is taking pre-contractual steps requested by the candidate. We will retain a profile for future recruitment processes only with the candidate’s consent, which may be withdrawn at any time. Where necessary, we may also process the information to comply with legal obligations or to establish, exercise and defend legal claims.
We do not use your data to make automated decisions or to create profiles that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you.
4. Data retention
Data will be kept only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was obtained. It may then be duly restricted for the statutory limitation periods applicable to potential liabilities and to comply with tax, commercial or other obligations.
Enquiries that do not lead to a professional relationship will be deleted when they are no longer needed. Technical logs will be retained for the period reasonably required to manage security, investigate incidents and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Application data will be retained while the recruitment process is under way and will generally be deleted within six months after it ends. If the candidate authorises us to retain their profile for future opportunities, it will be kept for no more than twelve months from the latest update or interaction. It will then be deleted or anonymised, without prejudice to any temporary restriction of processing required for applicable statutory limitation periods.
5. Recipients and service providers
We do not sell or disclose personal data for commercial purposes. It may be accessed by providers delivering necessary services to us —such as hosting, transactional email (currently Resend), IT support or professional advice— acting as processors and subject to the corresponding confidentiality and data protection obligations.
We may also disclose information to public authorities, courts, tribunals or law enforcement bodies where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Applications may be accessed only by authorised JPL OPS personnel and, where necessary, by providers assisting with recruitment or delivering transactional email services—currently Resend—always acting as processors and subject to confidentiality and data protection obligations. We will not disclose an application to other organisations for their own recruitment processes without first informing the candidate and having a valid legal basis.
6. International transfers
Some technology providers, including the transactional email service, may process information from countries outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, we will require the transfer to be covered by an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another valid safeguard under the General Data Protection Regulation.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing, data portability where applicable, and object to processing. You may also withdraw consent previously given without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.
In relation to an application, you may also withdraw your consent to participate in future recruitment processes at any time and ask us to stop considering your profile, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
To exercise these rights, write to info@jplops.com, specifying the right you wish to exercise and providing the information required to verify your identity where essential. Exercising these rights is free of charge under the terms laid down by law.
If you believe that the processing of your data breaches applicable law, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures proportionate to the risk to protect data against loss, alteration, unauthorised access or disclosure. However, no system connected to the Internet can guarantee absolute security.
9. External links
The website may contain links to third-party services. When you follow them, the processing of your data will be governed by those third parties’ terms and policies, over which JPL OPS has no control.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, our processing activities or applicable law changes. The current version will always be the one published on this page and identified by its update date.
